ODONTOHELL

In the 2 years that I have been studying Dentistry at the University of Chile, I think I have seen more failures than successes in the faculty's study program, and now I am going to criticize what, at least for me, is the most important thing. As a dentistry student, I've found myself on a rollercoaster of knowledge, absorbing a vast array of information and I can't help but wonder if it's overburdening us with more than we really need for our future careers. The sheer volume of subjects and information thrown our way is often overwhelming. We delve into intricate details of topics that, though fascinating, might not be crucial in everyday dental practice. It's high time our curriculum was reviewed to focus more on the essentials. One area that could benefit from streamlining is the extensive anatomy courses. While understanding the oral and craniofacial anatomy is vital, the depth to which we're expected to memorize every minute detail can be excessive. We need
